On the occasion of the presentation of the Master's Degree in Geo-resources and Eco-sustainable Business Management at the University of Turin, Dario Casalini, creator and president of Slow Fiber, participated in a stimulating discussion with stakeholders and future students of the course.

Today more than ever, in fact, it is essential to train professionals who know how to combine, within individual companies, technical skills and economic management of sustainability.

During the speech titled "Is a sustainable textile industry possible?" Casalini underlined the urgency and necessity of a change of direction towards environmental and social sustainability, if we want to safeguard the dignity of human beings and the delicate balances of nature.

This path, which actively involves companies and citizens, is full of challenges and it is essential to know how to face them to guarantee a future for Man and the Earth.

Learning to “measure what is sustainable” also depends on complex factors that sometimes escape measurement, but are equally important and impactful. In a constantly changing scenario like this, it is essential to be aware and adequately trained, to continue to find innovative paradigms of business, production and consumption that can concretely open the doors to a sustainable future.

A sustainability that, following the example of Slow Fiber, can also flourish with beauty, which is such only if connected to values such as: good, healthy, fair, clean and durable.
